Gumdrops on Rooftops Gingerbread House Contest & Showcase

Welcome to the 2^nd Annual “Gumdrops on Rooftops” Gingerbread House Decorating Contest & Showcase! This fun holiday event is for all ages. Make a gingerbread creation or just come see the showcase! There will be activities from SOAR, coloring station and contest, wreath making contest PLUS an exclusive visit from Mrs. Clause with free cookies and hot chocolate!

It’s FREE to participate in any of the contests and FREE to attend and is open to anyone located in the region. BUT in the spirit of Christmas and giving, cash donations will be accepted at the door for the 4-H Backpack Program which provides food on the weekends for at risk kids.

Gingerbread House Contest Details:

Divisions & Cash Prizes:

Individual:

Adult (18+) – 1^st place $250, 2^nd place $150, 3^rd place $75

Teen (13-17) – 1^st place $150, 2^nd place $100, 3^rd place $50

Pre-Teen (10-12) – 1^st place $150, 2^nd place $100, 3^rd place $50

Youth I (6-9) – 1^st place $150, 2^nd place $100, 3^rd place $50

Groups:

Pastry/Professional Chef – 1^st place $400, 2^nd place $200, 3^rd place $100

Civic/Business/Religious Organizations – 1^st place $400, 2^nd place $200, 3^rd place $100

Families – 1^st place $300, 2^nd place $150, 3^rd place $75

Coloring Contest Details:

Divisions:

3-4 years old, 5-6 years old, 7-8 years old & 9-10 years old

Color Sheet Pickup:

Coloring Sheets may be picked beginning Wednesday, November 15^th at 3 locations:

Muhlenberg County Extension Office (3690 State Route 1380, Central City, KY 42330)

Muhlenberg County Public Libraries:

• Harbin Memorial Library (Greenville location), 117 S Main Street, Greenville
• Central City Public Library, 108 Broad Street, Central City

Coloring Sheet Submission:

Completed entries will be accepted at the UK Extension Office beginning Monday, Nov. 27th and the deadline to enter will be Dec. 9th at 4:30PM.

There will be one entry accepted per artist and must be the child’s original coloring.
