Who’s ready for some “am-hayzing” fun?
The Muhlenberg County Tourism Commission is excited to announce a fun community event the whole family will enjoy, Bales in the ‘Berg. The inaugural Hay Bale Trail will kick off on October 1st and run through October 31st.
Spectators will be able to visit all parts of Muhlenberg County to view a variety of Hay Bale displays and creations. We are seeking entries into the event, follow the link below to register and be included on the Bale Trail map. Please register by September 23rd and prizes will be awarded to the top three winners in the following categories: Business, Residential and Non-Profit. We will need the communities help in selecting the winning displays, so follow along on our Facebook page and be ready to vote for your favorites. Get ready to do the Straw Crawl!!

Let’s do the DOCK TROT! The Muhlenberg County Tourism Commission is excited to bring back this FREE, family friendly event that features live entertainment on beautiful Lake Malone! The event
Let’s do the DOCK TROT! The Muhlenberg County Tourism Commission is excited to bring back this FREE, family friendly event that features live entertainment on beautiful Lake Malone! The event is slated for Saturday, September 17th and will feature seven free concerts performed along the banks of the lake. The event will begin at 2:00 pm and finish with a grand finale firework display at 7:30 pm.
To enjoy the event, launch a watercraft and embark on a free musical journey. Cruise along the Dock Trot route, navigating the waters from dock to dock, to discover three locations where seven live concerts will be performed. Anchor for a bit and enjoy the music, then motor on over to the next Dock Trot Stop to hear another talented group of musicians.
The event will feature a total of 7 bands, with 3 bands playing from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm, 3 bands playing from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm, and a grand finale band playing from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm at the beach. Musicians and bands featured this year include Roy Kyle & the Hot Rot Cruisers, 181 South, You, Me & Alice, Dakota Hayden, Alonzo Pennington, CJ Sparks and Conch Republic. Specific band times and locations are forthcoming.
Following the completion of all concerts the event will conclude with a grand finale firework display at 7:30 pm near the beach at Lake Malone State Park.
