Muhlenberg’s Merry & Bright Christmas Decorating Contest (Registration)

The Muhlenberg County, Central City and Greenville Tourism Commissions are pleased to announce the return of “Muhlenberg’s Merry & Bright Christmas Decorating Contest.” This fun and festive event is a collaboration between the commissions to bring an extra dash of holiday cheer to residents and visitors alike!

This is going to be a good ol’ friendly competition to see who has the best Christmas decorations where the real winners are the spectators. However, there are prizes up for grabs, plus bragging rights! The contest will feature two divisions, residential and business with the following prizes being awarded in each division: 1^st place – $300, 2^nd place – $200, 3^rd place – $100.

In addition, did we mention it’s FREE to enter! The deadline to enter for 2023 is Wednesday, December 6^th.

The judging period will be from December 10^th – 16^th and winners will be announced December 20^th via social media and the local newspapers.

Yard Sign Pick-up Info:

Upon entry, participants will be given a specific entry number.

Participants will then be required to pick up their corresponding yard sign,

Pick will be at one of 3 locations:

Muhlenberg Career Advancement Center (50 Career Way, Powderly, KY 42367, adjacent to the Muhlenberg County Senior Citizens Center and the Merle Travis Center) during normal business, hours (9:00 am – 4:00 pm) Monday – Friday.

Greenville Tourism Commission Visitors Center – 125 S. Main Street, Downtown Greenville

Central City Tourism Commission Office/Muhlenberg Music Museum – 200 N First Street, Central City

If needed other arrangements can be made.

Photo or Video Info:

Participants must provide a photo and/or video (30 sec Max) of their entry to assist with judging and to be used on social media.

Photos are due by December 8th
